Meet the Owners:
Kay is a visionary entrepreneur with a 25 year history of programming scientific and engineering applications for the oil & gas industry. He brings his immense creativity and ability to visually explain a process to the many projects he consults on each year.
He founded CAPSHER in 1994 with Kevin Sherry. He has received the Special Meritorious Engineering Innovation Award from Petroleum Engineer International. Previously, Kay worked for an engineering consulting firm where he implemented applications for the petroleum industry. He also worked for K.W. Brown and Associates and Texas A&M University, implementing software, hardware, and mainframe projects.
Kay graduated from Texas A&M University, class of '82. He earned a B.S. in Computer Science and a B.S. in Industrial Distribution.
Kevin is a detail-oriented problem solver. He has over 25 years experience developing solutions for the petroleum industry. Kevin adds depth of understanding and breadth of experience to projects at CAPSHER.
Kevin has received the Special Meritorious Engineering Innovation Award from Petroleum Engineer International. Prior to founding CAPSHER, Kevin worked at S.A. Holditch & Associates, where he developed applications for the petroleum industry and implemented a design methodology for the management and development of software products. Kevin spent 3 years working for the Petroleum Engineering Department at Texas A&M University. He holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan and a B.S. in Computer Science from Western Michigan University.
Meet the Senior Developer:
Mark has extensive experience with data acquisition and hardware control applications. His strengths at walkthroughs, application design, and project execution, have been essential in delivering success for CAPSHER's clients. Mark graduated from Texas A&M with a BS Degree in Computer Engineering.
