Problem:
The client needed an advisor application to help the engineers determine what fluids should be used to treat a well given the varying levels of information they may have available to them.

Solution:
Typical advisor applications have rules built into them that need factual data to give good answers. For this application, CAPSHER met with the client and it was determined that a new breed of advisor application was needed. It was very possible that the user would only know a few things about the case they were treating but they still needed an answer. CAPSHER developed a rule engine that would handle the case of an unknown answer and present the user with a confidence ranking in the answer they received. The more information that the user gave, the higher the confidence in the answer the application could provide.
The user interface always presented the user with all of the inputs and the outputs as well. The user could get a great "at a glance" view and have confidence in the results they were being presented with.

Problem:
The client manufactures hundreds of products per day to exact customer specifications. They required a system to help the customer accurately calculate their requirements and communicate those back to our client.

Solution:
We interviewed many potential users of the program in order to discover common needs. From these interviews we established a project vision. In working closely with our client's sales and valve engineering groups, we defined project goals and a design to satisfy the vision. As the software development progresses, we deliver an application that is meeting those goals and challenges.

Problem:
A tool was needed that would generate reports to be distributed to clients. Reports had to be quick and easy to generate with small file size and large number of data points. At the same time, the report files had to be small and portable.

Solution:
We used a compact and affordable PDF library to generate plots that incorporate the customer's logo. Reports are generated with two clicks of the mouse by searching end user's computer and then choosing the files to generate.

Problem:
Certain oilfield services require multiple pumping units to work in unison. Operators on-site have historically accomplished this manually. For our client's purposes, we were to develop a software program that would achieve this instead.

Solution:
Working with the client, we developed a software application that requires as little human input as possible to safely and effectively control multiple pumping units.
